The images in this slide show represent a cross-selection from my recent portfolio of handmade jewellery. I create contemporary, chic, Bohemian style jewellery, which has a unique and feminine look.
My 'Vintage Rose' range of jewellery is specially designed, with great care and craftsmanship, to make you shine, to help you define as well as express who you are, and to help you make an impression without even having to say a word.
Within this overall Bohemian style there is a unique and eclectic diversity in terms of the materials that I choose. I love to work with feathers for their ethereal, iridescent qualities and the delightful way they flutter as you move. I also enjoy working with natural crystals and gemstones, as well as shells, stones and wood. But perhaps the most unusual aspect of my jewellery, though, is the intricate mosaic designs. Each one is an original work of art, with very fine detailing, that is made over the course of two or more days - a real labour of love! I also like to add a little bit of history and often incorporate antique or vintage components from my collection of wonderful old, but broken, jewellery.
I think my long career in art has greatly informed my understanding of colour, texture and form. I aspire to create wearable works of art that support you in making everyday beautiful. I make all of my jewellery with the utmost care and attention to detail, design and finish. I take the time to make every piece to the best of my ability to ensure quality of workmanship.
